The Wire China is a news operation that publishes an online magazine focused on coverage of China, its businesses and the global economy. The magazine, which is led by editors Chloe Fox (formerly of The New Yorker) and Andrew Peaple (a former reporter and editor at The Wall Street Journal) is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of journalism, including a commitment to fair, balanced and insightful news coverage.
WireScreen is a corporate intelligence platform that specializes in global business records, with an initial focus on Chinese businesses. Its customers include multinational corporations, government agencies, universities, and law and consulting firms.
The two units have separate employees and management. Editors and reporters at The Wire China have no knowledge of WireScreen customers or the way they utilize the service. And WireScreen employees have no influence over news coverage or editorial decisions of The Wire China. Staff and freelance writers at The Wire China are empowered to report, without fear or favor, on any person, organization or institution, regardless of whether or not there may be a corporate relationship with WireScreen, its parent organization, The Wire Digital Inc., or the company’s owners and investors.
